About Black Briar

Blackbriar LLP is a Cardiff-based communications agency that represents a range of clients, predominantly in the financial sector.

Managing partner Duncan Higgitt has close to 20 years’ experience in both journalism and public relations, including working as both news and features editor at the Western Mail (where he was heavily involved in the paper’s transition from broadsheet to compact). He has also written for a number of national newspapers.

After leaving the Western Mail, he was appointed a director of one of Wales’ fastest growing PR companies, and also edited Welsh Business, the well-regarded magazine for Cardiff Chamber of Commerce members.

As well as providing a high-value service to his valued client base, Duncan has also diversified into artist representation and brokerage, and works with the likes of Andrew Vicari, the world’s richest artist, among others.
